September Match
Monday, 13 September 2010 16:09

We have a great match lined up for this Saturday, September 18. This is Bob’s first match as Match Director and he has put together a 140 round 10 stage match that is very challenging and the stages look like a lot of fun. The weather forecast is looking good so plan on a day at the range.

After our match on September 18, we will hold a special event called the “September Shoot Off”. This will be a man on man, double elimination shoot off. This event will require speed, accuracy and concentration. At the end of the event one shooter will be declared the winner. The stage will be revolver friendly. This event is great fun for the participants and for the observers. Cheering (or jeering) the shooters is encouraged.

The cost of this event is included in the regular match fee. A minimum of 100 rounds are required to shoot all the way to the winners circle. Some of us will save a lot of ammo.

Because of the special nature of this event and because we will be running a HOT RANGE for this event the following rules apply. (1) Only experienced shooters (three MDPA matches or equal experience with approval of the Match Director) are allowed to participate. (2) The event requires a minimum of 14 shooters and a maximum of 20 shooters. (3) Sign ups for this event will be taken at the same time you sign up for the regular match. (4) Special range rules will be explained prior to the event and ANY violation will result in a DQ. (5) The judgment of the Match Director or his designate is final.
